Luke and Laura - ABC Daytime

Today's magic mug comes from ABC Daytime, honoring one of the greatest stories in 'soap opera' history. The love story of Luke and Laura, played by Anthony Geary and Genie Francis (General Hospital 1979 to 2013) the storyline  that saved General Hospital from low ratings and possible cancellation. The one sided mug shows the names Luke & Laura near the bottom of dark square.  Beneath that is the logo for ABC daytime.
When hot liquid is added, the center of the dark square clears showing a couple, silhouetted in red seemingly running from  something and yet always together.

Ocuflox Ophthalmic Antibiotic Solution

This mug is a freebie given to doctors and carriers of the ophthalmic drop solution Ocuflox.  This is the brand name for the generic drug ofloxacin.  Its main use was to treat infections of the eye.  The cute picture on the mug shows an old fashioned Bug Zapper with several bugs flying around it. This mug is a bit different in that the main thermochromic picture is on the side of the mug opposite the handle. The phrase "Zap the Bugs" in white floats on the picture as does "Zap 'em dead" in both purple and red.  The bugs are also purple and red.
Medical information on the drug is shown on the main sides.

When hot liquid is poured into the mug, the colored bugs disappear and the red and purple letters change to white, effectively showing how the medicine gets rid of 'bugs.'

I love this mug as one of the few mugs that is a 2 color change mug.

Batman Forever - Batmobile

This is the last post in the set of three Magic Mugs. These are some of my all time favorites, as they are also some of the oldest.  They were produced at the time the movie Batman Forever (Val Kilmer as Batman) was introduced  on DVD (1996). Each mug shows one of the vehicles that were used in the movie.

The last one is the BATMOBILE, Batman's iconic automobile. .

The mug when cold shows the Batman/Ridler question mark logo on the back and the BATMOBILE name in purple on the front.

When hot liquid is added, the purple Batmobile area turns clear and shows a stylized drawing of the BATMOBILE itself.

These were a gift and I've kept them in their respective boxes for storage.  Each of the mugs also still sports the "VEHICLE MAGICALLY  APPEARS" sticker on the front.
