GMCH 40 Years of Excellence

This mug was issued by Gravette Medical Center Hospital in honor of it's 40th Anniversary.  Above a dark rectangle are the letters GMCH along with a heartbeat pattern.  Below the rectangle are the dates 1955 - 1995.

When hot liquid is added, the black rectangle clears to show the "40 Years of Exellence".   Color change is quick and complete.  A really nice mug in my collection.

Perma Tank Water Systems - Freedom of Choice!

This week's mug comes from a company named Perma Tank Water Systems, makers of diaphragm water tank systems for businesses.  The mug uses the title "Freedom of Choice" above a dark area.   (The dark area is a silhouette of a type of water tank made by Perma Tank.)

Once hot liquid is added, the dark area clears to complete the advertising. It shows the 'PT' Logo above the name "Perma Tank Water Systems" and the address in Nashville, TN.

This is a corporate advertising free type mug, usually given to new clients or prospective clients.

Dinosaur Skeletons

This is a really effective use of the Thermochromatic ink.  The mug is a retail available mug, showing  four well known dinosaurs: Apatosaurus, Dimetrodon, Triceratops and the Tyrannosaurus. They are shown in a dark green shadow like effect.

When Hot liquids are added to the mug, the dinosaur silhouettes turn clear and you can see their skeletons.  A wonderful mug from  the Maryland Science Center.

US Capitol

This week's mug is from the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.  It says right on the side there, U.S. CAPITOL.  The picture is of the capitol dome building, shown beneath a dark sky.  The lawn in front of the capitol is also thermo-ink covered.  Below right is the artist's name, James Seimer.  The mug is in great condition, the ink is nice and dark.
When hot liquid is added, the picture is almost shocking in its design. When I expected a blue sky, I get a giant American Flag Waving in the breeze!  Even a set of windows in the dome cleared to show this beautiful image!
This is a mug found in gift shops and tourist areas of our nation's capitol, and the Smithsonian museums for retail purchase.
