Denny's Restaurants are not new to the magic mug. This is just one of their long line of mugs for advertising their restaurants. On the right side of the mug is the Denny's Logo with the phrase "Connecting People."
On the left side of the mug is a cartoon drawing of a woman using her phone. Next to her is a large dark area highlighted by a moon and many stars. (Note that one of the stars is yellow where the rest are white.) At the bottom of the dark area is the phrase "Don't be in the dark."
When hot liquid is added to the mug, the large dark area clears to show that the woman is connected to another phone and three people emerge (One wearing a yellow tee shirt which is what made the yellow star.) Also is visible the phrase "Beep A Buddie."
Although there is little on this campaign, it suggests that people can or should stay more connected to one another as much as possible using their phones or perhaps creating a phone tree for emergencies.
