HELLO KITTY - CHRISTMAS

This month's mug is especially for Christmas.  It shows a fully dark mug with snowflakes falling all around.  On both the left and right side of the mug you can also see the Sanrio Character Hello Kitty. She is wearing a special gingerbread outfit for the Holidays. 

When hot liquids are added, the mug clears to show a cute gingerbread house on both the left and right sides.  Additionally, between the two houses is a line of cupcakes.  

This mug is brand new!

Hexen Kessel

 

Another stupendous find, this month's mug is a cauldron shape, with Hexen Kessel written on one side along with a couple of little drawings of a witch, and a little spook.  (Hexel Kessel literally translates to "Witch's Cauldron.") 

When hot, flames appear across the bottom of the 'cauldron' along with some more ghosts!  A fun find! 

This mug is used, but in terrific condition.

Happy Halloween - Jack-O-Lantern

 

This is a fun mug was found on the shelves of our local reseller.  The mug is all black, with both sides showing a smiling (but also slightly evil looking) pumpkin Jack-O-Lantern with the words "Happy Halloween!" above it.  Beside the big Jack-O-Lantern are two smaller smiling (and less evil looking) jack-o-lanterns. 

 

When hot liquids are added to the mug, the eyes, nose and mouth of all the Jack-O-Lanterns clear to show a bright yellow, with additional orange giving depth to the eyes of the larger pumpkin.  

Not only is this a great mug, but it comes in a brightly colored box.

PAULO 75th ANNIVERSARY

This month's mug is a great thrift store find!  The mug is all dark with a logo on both sides which says PAULO 75 YEARS with the dates above and below 1943 and 2018.   Though dark, I could tell that this may be a really interesting mug.  

My research found that In 1943, Ben and Pauline Rassieur rented a storefront near downtown St. Louis and decided to try to make a go of a business they weren’t sure would succeed. Today, PAULO is the largest privately-held commercial heat treater in the United States.

When hot liquids are added, the mug fully clears to reveal a fantastic wrap around picture of fire and something being heat treated.   I may not know what this company does, but this is a truly beautiful mug and is in near mint condition!

Christmas Stitch (Disney)

 

This month's mug is another Zak! mug featuring Stich from Disney.  The mug is mostly black, except for the handle and insides.  On both the right and left you can see Stich dressed for cold weather. His sweater is Christmas themed. The front of the mug is likewise undecorated.  

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the entire mug clears to reveal the background full of Christmas icons: trees, mistletoe, lights, music notes, ginger bread men, candy canes, ornaments, gifts, hot chocolate and the words FA LA LA LA. 

This mug is brand new.

Bluey and Family

This month's mug is another retail mug from ZAK! It features characters from the TV Show Bluey on both sides.  On the right side of the mug is Bluey, surrounded by her family on a silhouette of their house.  On the left side of the mug is Bluey pulling a wagon with some toys in it below a dark blue Bluey Logo. 

When hot liquid is poured into the mug, on the right, the house silhouette clears to show a wide grassy field and blue sky.  On the Left, the dark logo clears to show the true blue Bluey Logo. 

The mug is brand new.

Marvel Comics SuperHeros

This month's mug is another from Zak!  It features Marvel Comics' superheros (as originally drawn in the Marvel Comics.)  On the right side of the mug is Thor and Rocket, with three additional dark spots.  On the left is Captain America,  AntMan and the Wasp, with three more dark spots. 

When  hot liquid is added to the mugs, all the dark spots clear to reveal additional characters. On the right side of the mug revealed are Black Panther, The Hulk, and a speech bubble that says "Not a TRICK! This is the Issue you've been waiting for!"  On the left side of the mug, revealed are She-Hulk, Spiderman, and Dr. Strange.

This mug is brand new and I love how they are 18 ounces big!

HARRY POTTER SORTING HAT - Griffendor

This month's mug is another wonderful Thrift Store find.  It is an all black mug with  the "Sorting Hat" from the Harry Potter movies on the right side of the mug and on the left side of the mug, you can just make out the dark area with the hidden design.  

 When hot liquid is added to the mug, the area on the left clears to show the herald of the Griffindor House with the word "Griffindor" below it.  

Used, but in really good condition.  Color change is quick and clear.

Dwight Schrute's FACTS

This month's mug comes from The Office (US Version) When cold, it has a colorful graphic of Dwight Schrute (Played to perfection by Actor Rainn Wilson) against a blackboard looking background with the word FACT above it. This is on both sides, which leads you to think that the two sides have identical artwork.  

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the blackboard clears to reveal two of Dwight's 'Facts'.  On the Right it shows "BEARS CAN CLIB FASTER THAN THEY CAN RUN" and on the left, it shows  "I AM FASTER THAN 80% OF SNAKES."

The mug is in great condition, purchased new.

Raincloud to Sunshine

This month's mug is another Thrift Store find. When cold, the left side of the mug (one sided) shows a dark raincloud with a bland expression.  

 When hot liquid is added, the cloud turns clear and a bright happy sun shows through.  The perfect expression of what a good cup of coffee can do to your day.  A great mug for the collection

My Favorite Child Gave Me This Mug

 This month's mug is another great gift, given to me by my kid.  It is an all black mug with the words 

MY CHILD GAVE ME THIS MUG

written in white letters on both sides. Note the space between MY and CHILD.

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the word FAVORITE, written in red, appears in the space, making the phrase "MY FAVORITE CHILD GAVE ME THIS MUG."  

The mug is brand new, and I plan to use it on my birthday every year.

Hogwarts Golden Snitch #2

Today's mug is one of two I found very near identical.  The mug is dark blue and on the right is a darker area with a drawing of the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter.  On the left side of the mug is a Hogwarts banner above a heraldic shaped darker area with the H in the center and another banner at the bottom, on which are the words: "Draco Dormiens Nunauam Titillandus" - which is the Hogwarts Motto. (Never tickle a sleeping dragon.)

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the dark areas clear.  On the right side of the mug a patchwork design appears that has the words "I'm a Catch" and on left side the heraldic shape shows animals which represent the four houses of Hogwarts: A Lion (Griffindore), a Serpent (Slytherin), a Badger (Hufflepuff) and an Eagle (Ravenclaw.) 

The mug is brand new, and still has its original tags.
