Supelco - Peak Performance
The front of this mug shows the name SUPELCO along with their logo and a sort of graph you might see on a business website. This is one of those surprising finds. I fully expected to find out that this mug was from some oil company. You can imagine my surprise to find out that Supelco is part of the Sigma-Aldrich group and is a company specializing in chromatography. From their website:
From our main facility in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, USA, we research, manufacture, and
supply chromatography columns and related tools for environmental, government, food
and beverage, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical, and chemical laboratories.
When hot liquids are added, the whole dark background clears to sow another stylized graph and the words "Delivers Peak Perforance." This mug was, most likely a free incentive for customers or prospective customers. Color change is complete and near perfect.

Western Sunrise Mortgage
When hot liquid is added, the entire dark area and circle clear to show the words "We don't need magic to work miracles." Also now visible is the Western Sunrise Logo inside a bright circle. The color change is near complete and the mug is in great shape.

WVIZ Auction '89
This week's mug is from WVIZ Auction '89. WVIZ, virtual channel 25, is the primary PBS member television located in Cleveland, Ohio. Public Television is famous for fund raisers which include telethons and auctions. On one side of the mug is the title "WVIZ Auction '89" and on the other:
is a television below the title "Public Television A Natural Resouce." The center of the TV is a dark rectangle. The mug is in great shape, though the color change is not as clear as it could be.

Delta Machinery - I've Got Passion
This week's mug comes from Delta Machinery aka Delta Power Equipment Corporation. They make industrial power tools like lathes and table saws. This mug was (most likely) a corporate freebie or incentive to their employees. It has the Delta Machinery Logo above the phrase "I've Got Passion." above a skewed dark blue heart shape.
When hot liquid is added to the mug, the heart clears to show the skewed phrase "For Our Customers" in red. The color change is only about 50% but it's still a great mug.
This mug has an added bonus on the bottom. There is what appears to be a stock tag from HOUZE itself, making this mug either a showroom piece or proof to the customer (in this case, Delta Machinery.)
A great addition to the collection!

Software Conference
This week's mug is a most unusual mug. It shows a dark rounded square with starts on the front. Above and below this space is the question "What's the Brightest STAR on the Horizon?"
When hot liquid is added, the big dark area clears to show a spinning triangle design and the words "International STAR Conference."
This mug is sort of a one of a kind, probably given only to attendees of the conference. The color change is near complete and the mug is in great shape!

On the other side of the mug is the following:
As you can see, they cleverly lined up the letters of each word so that they spell out the word STAR down the left side. Also are the words Conference and the date, May 4-7, 1992, Las Vegas, NV1st International

Coastal Oil - New York
This week's mug comes from Coastal Oil of New York. The mug features a skyline with the outline of a truck in front of it. On the truck is the Coastal Oil Logo. Below the truck is "Coastal Oil, New York, Inc." At the bottom is an 800 number. Above the 800 number is a dark long rectangle.
When hot liquid is added to the mug, the skyline, the truck and the rectangle all turn clear and the phrase "Working for you." is clearly seen. The change is only about half way what it should be, but enough to show this great mug.
Most likely a freebie given to corporate clients.

Northwest Magnetic Imaging Center
This week's mug comes from Northwest Magnetic Imaging Center in Portland, Oregon! On one side of the mug is the name of the company and an address, city, state, etc.
And on the other side a dark profile of a human head. Beneath that it says "A leader in inside information."
When hot liquid is added, the dark profile clears to show a resultant image from magnetic imaging. Color change is about average, but still a neat mug overall. And, a very clever use of the Thermochromatic Ink properties. This mug was, most likely, given to clients of the center during a promotion or grand opening.
