RCA Megachanger

This week's mug comes from RCA and is a rather simple mug advertising the RCA Megachanger. The Megachanger was a CD Changer that held more Audio CDs than the usual at that time.  (My research did not turn up any of these, so I can only guess at the number of discs that the 'Megachanger' held.) The mug was probably a giveaway with the purchase of the Megachanger.

The left side of the mug has an unusual pattern on it at the bottom of which is a large dark space.

On the right side of the mug is the RCA letter logo in red.
When hot liquid is added, the space at the  bottom clears to show the name "RCA Megachanger."   (This example is a bit microwave damaged, but it does change.)

UPS 85th Anniversary

This week's mug is from United Parcel Service and is commemorative of their 85th anniversary.  On the left side of the mug is a detailed logo showing the phrase "85 Years of Growth" above a UPS emblem and "Delivering our Future" in blue.
On the right side of the mug is a large brown package, complete with bow.
When hot liquid is added, the package and bow clear to reveal the UPS logo.  This particular mug doesn't change as quickly nor as fully as it should, but it is still a great addition to the collection.

AFCOM - ASSOC. FOR COMPUTER OPERATIONS MANAGERS

That's quite a title for this weeks Mug.  It does, in fact, represent the Association for Computer Operations Managers, as printed at the top of the design.  This mug features a full wrap around dark area which surrounds two cartoon men.

When hot liquid is added, the entire dark area clears to reveal a full office of computer operators and the additional phrase "AFCOM - Bringing Operations Professionals Together.
As I am, in fact, a computer operator, this mug has a special place in my collection. The change is quick, though not as complete as I'd like, but still a good mug.

TRESSA

This mug is from Tressa hair management system.  The left side of the mug has the words "Changing The Way You Look" around a drawing of a large rectangular mirror.  Below the mirror is the company name, TRESSA followed by an asterisk.
When hot liquid is added, the mirror clears to reveal an odd curly design. There is no information on this as to whether it is a logo or not.  The mug has a quick change, and very colorful. There is little history on this mug but it appears to be the type that is free with purchase or given to customers.

1986 Florida Baptist Convention

This week's mug is from the 1986 Florida Baptist State Sunday School Convention and highlights their "Challenge 10/90" which was a challenge created to increase Sunday School enrollment between 1986 to 1990. Beautiful graphics and title sit above a dark rectangle at the bottom.

When hot liquid is added, the rectangle turns clear to reveal the words: "The Florida Challenge, 150,440 Enrollment Increase 1986 - 1990"  Though the mug is microwave damaged, it still has a bit of change and I love having it as a part of this collection.

UNASYN B Fragilis Buster

This week's mug is another in a long line of mugs made for prescription drugs which were given out to doctors when a new drug is introduced.  In this case, Unasyn  or 'ampicillin sodium/sulbactam sodium) which is an injectable antibacterial treatment.  Also on the left side of the mug is the phrase "B fragilis BUSTER" (B fragilis is also known as Bacteroides fragilis.)  Above all the Latin is a drawing of three of the Bacteroides fragilis in orange.

On the right side of the mug is the logo or insignia for Unasyn and it's Latin equivalent.

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the orange  bacterium turn clear to again show the name and Latin equivalent for the medicine.  A beautiful mug in this group.

MTV

This week's mug comes from MTV, the Music Television Channel. The mug features a full 3 sided wrap around design of an artist painting on an easel.   On the artist's pallet is the MTV Logo and on the easel is a dark square.  (This mug has a bit of microwave damage and the square isn't as opaque as it should be.)

When hot liquid is added, the square on the pallet clears to again show the MTV logo.  It's a great mug even though the color change isn't as clear as it should be.
I have no history on this mug, and can only guess that it was a corporate giveaway to either clients or customers.  Either way it's a great mug.
