K.T. Oslin - 80's Ladies

This week's mug is a full wrap around design.  The full wrap around dark area is made to look like a piano, with the keys at the bottom.  Below this is a list of songs: WALL OF TEARS ● 80'S LADIES ● DO YA ● I'LL ALWAYS COME BACK  I'm sure I don't have to tell some fans that these songs are the work of Country Music Star, K.T. Oslin.

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the entire piano area clears to reveal the name K.T. OSLIN in large red letters. This mug was put out in 1987 to match the release of the album '80's Ladies.'  This was the album that put K.T. Oslin on the map being both her first album and charting to Billboard's number 1 spot the same year.

The mug is in great shape, and the color change is excellent.

DAD

This week's mug is in honor of Father's Day!  The mug features big bold red, white, and blue letters that spell DAD in a full wrap around design.  Added to that are big blue stars.  

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the bigger of the blue stars clears and reveals the words 'You'e a Star" in the center of the star.

This is a retail purchase, dated about 1990.  The colors are great, though the color change is a bit muddled. Still a great mug.

STAR TREK TRANSPORTER

This week's mug holds a special place in my heart for two reasons. First, it's a brand new Star Trek (TOS*) Magic Mug. It is a full wrap around design with two FULL COLOR Thermographic changes.  On the right side of the mug, you see the crew (Uhura, Spock, Kirk and McCoy) on the Transporter in full color graphics. On the left side of the mug, you see a dark rocky terrain with a red sky in the background.

On the side opposite the handle, you see the Star Trek Logo. 

When hot liquid is added to the mug, both sides change.  The Transporter clears, and the dark rocky terrain suddenly shows the crew has safely transported to the terrain!  

The second reason I love this mug is that it was a special gift from a friend far away.  Mug Gifts are great, but this was in honor of my retirement from my job just this last month and thus it means a lot.  

The mug is NEW and comes with its own full color box. The color changes are terrific and full color and it will forever hold a place of honor in the collection.

LTU Airline

 This week's mug is from LTU Airline.  On the left side of the mug is a drawing of a computer with keys and a big screen.  The screen is dark.  Above the drawing it says "WE'RE NOW FLYING INTO A NEW TERMINAL" and below the drawing is the phrase "LTU Germany's Other Airline"

When hot liquid is added to the mug, the screen clears to reveal the tail of an airplane with the LTU Logo. Founded in 1955, LTU, legally incorporated as LTU Lufttransport-Unternehmen GmbH, was a German leisure airline headquartered in Düsseldorf. It operated medium and long-haul routes and maintained hubs at Düsseldorf Airport, Munich Airport and Berlin-Tegel Airport. It ceased operations in 2009.

This is a great mug, with bright colors and a good color change.
