This week's mug comes from Allied Fibers, but more specifically Anso IV Carpets. The Left side of the mug features the logo for Anso IV and a silhouette of a man, below which is the phrase "Mystery Shopper." At the lower right is the logo for Allied Fibers.
When hot liquid is added, the silhouette clears to reveal the sales features for Anso IV Carpet. "Soil Resistant, Stain Resistant, Wear Resistant, Total Protection built into the fiber to last." The color change is very good and the mug is very unique.
There is little to no history on this mug, other than knowing the origin of Anso IV Carpet fibers. One person I spoke to suggested that the mugs were given to shops in anticipation of being 'Shopped' by a 'Mystery Shopper' who would expect to hear these bullet points in a sales pitch. Either way, the mug is a great addition to the collection.
