This is one in a series of mugs to honor the TV Series "Star Trek, The Next Generation" by showing major characters of the show in roles they had in the Holodeck. Each mug shows the Holodeck Doors with the character beside it with "USS ENTERPRISETM HOLODECK" above.
When heated, the design clears to show the same character in a scene from the Holodeck. In this case, Data is shown dressed as Sherlock Holmes.
