This month's mug is a retail mug I found in a thrift shop. It depicts a birthday cake in a wrap around design with 14 birthday candles stuck in the icing. Only 5 of the candles are lit.
When hot liquid is added to the mug, the area above the 9 unlit candles clears to show all the candles lit. I've yet to figure out why there are 5 lit and 9 unlit, but the mug is in fantastic condition, like near new and the color change is nice and fast.
