Some Dreams Do Come True - Cinderella
This is another in a line of Magic Mugs purchased in retail. The design shows a pumpkin and a row of mice beneath a sliver of moon in a starry sky. Below is the phrase "Some Dreams do Come True."
When hot liquid is added, the mice become a line of horses and the pumpkin changes to an egg shaped carriage much in the line of the story 'Cinderella.'
Also wonderful in this is that the box accompanies this in my collection.

Happy Birthday Cats
This is a whimsical mug from Color Magic Mugs created as a birthday greeting and gift all in one. The mug shows the silhouettes of two cats holding banners which say "Happy Birthday".
The color change is wonderful on this as the black silhouettes are total black and none of the painted porcelain cats can be seen beneath. Also wonderful in this is that the box accompanies this in my collection.

Autumn to Winter - Arlington Virginia
This is the last in the series of Arington, Virgina WonderMugs that I own. This is of Autumn to Winter. The scene is a full wrap around drawing of trees along a river. The dark Autumn colors of the leaves are evident even on the ground cover.
When hot liquid is added to the mug, the dark copper leaves disappear revealing stark defoliated trees and even light snow among the ground cover.
On either side of the design is "Wondermugs - Arlington, VA" and the artist's name "Eric Mohn" (which is the only mug of the three to have the artist's name.)

Sunset Arlington VA
When hot liquid is added, the dark clouds turn clear, showing a beautiful bright sunset viewed along the beach. The colors are great and the effect is wonderful.

Autumn Magic
This is a magic mug from a company called "One of a Kind" and is even dated 1997. The mug shows a full 3 sided design of different kinds of leaves with the title Autumn Magic.
Once hot liquid is added, the green tinged edges disappear showing the bright Autumn Colors of the leaves. This is a beautiful mug. Originally dated 1997 and most likely available for retail purchase in areas where people go to visit and see the colors of Autumn in the leaves.

Astronomical Planet Symbols - Smithsonian Institute
This is a terrific mug from the Smithsonian Institution (purchased at the National Air and Space Museum Gift Shop) which shows a night sky - Well, ok, this mug is old and has been used a lot. The design suggests that the dark area was once dark as night, cut out stars give a great night sky effect. Once a thermochromatic ink mug has been microwaved, or sat in the sun too long, well this is the effect.
What you see now are the astronomical symbols which represent each of the 9 (yes, I said 9) planets in our solar system. (Pluto is included in this list as the mug was more than likely designed before it's status change in status to "Dwarf Planet.") At the bottom of the design it also says "National Air and Space Museum."

AND, once a hot beverage is poured in, the design changes.
